Jenny House
Perched on a shelf above the Pacific, this white villa features ocean and coastline views as well as inland mountain and coastline views in all directions. The design's interior and exterior geometries incorporate these dramatic natural surroundings into the complex. The design is organized around a continuous curved wall that ties together inside and outside space. The stepped southern facade frames coastline views from each of the living spaces. Plaster arches and trellises define outdoor areas, and provide sun protection. Exposed wood beams on the inside become the outdoor trellis-covered patios, while concrete floors continue inside and out to further dissolve the barrier between exterior and interior space.
