Polo

The original 3,000 sq.ft. Polo on Rodeo Drive was designed for Ralph Lauren and Jerry Magnin within an existing building of used brick and bow-string trusses. The design juxtaposes two strong forms and textures of glass and wick to convey both a sense of tradition and of the current generation. On the interior, the warmth of brick wall and wood floors and fixtures around a skylit atrium combine to lend a sense of quality to the inventory. A new level of mezzanine offices and storage was added around the central atrium bringing natural light from above and landscape from below into the offices.
