Rancho Cielo
Rancho Cielo is a 4,000 square-foot modern hacienda on a 2.5-acre plateau. Its design is influenced by dramatic rock formations, layered mountain ranges, and spectacular California sunsets.

Like a desert village, the house is spread over the entire plateau, its stark design is well suited to the rocky terrain. It is a sequence of spaces starting from a 700-foot long driveway. Walls grow out of the site leading to the house, while colors suggest mauve earth tones, gray-green landscapes and red sunsets.

Rancho Cielo reveals itself in stages beginning with the guesthouse at the top of the driveway. The main house is a grouping of separate pavilions linked by glass passage ways. It is a quiet, serene environment in unison with the austere landscape.
