Sea Ranch 2 - Fernhill 

The second of seven clustered homes in Malibu captures the excitement of living in the rim of a canyon. Walls of the house extend out to enclose an entry garden. A skylit hallway runs the length of the house from where you step up to bedrooms or down to living spaces. The house is a collection of forms when passing through, where one experiences the continuing sensation f the outside natural environment. Floating fireplaces, openings framing the views and artwork, and protected outdoor patios all contribute to an open, flowing space. The mix of natural light and simplicity of forms and materials used indoors and out provides a fusion of architecture and landscape.
